how to remove bolt seals
Seals should not be removed by prime mover/truck drivers. They should only be removed by the recipient at the destination's end.
As seals are made to be tough to break, the best way to remove them is with a bolt cutter.
Where do you cut the seal?
Using a bolt cutter, cut along the length of the seal. You might need several tries before the seal can be cut clean through.For safety reasons, avoid positions where the elbows are behind the body or above the shoulder. When gripping the cutting tool, the wrist should also be kept as straight as possible. The operator should also wear eye protection, where appropriate.

All of our bolt seals include an anti-spin feature, which enhances security by preventing unauthorized access. They also have an extended operational length, offering more clearance and making it easier to use bolt cutters for removal.
Customized bolt seals offer additional security. The standard stock bolt seals (available in red, blue, and yellow) can be customized with imprinting on the bolt only. We also offer yellow bolt seals that can be customized on both the bolt and the locking body.
For enhanced protection, if the container or trailer has two hinged doors (each with a keeper bar and hasp), it's recommended to secure both doors using a bolt seal on each one.

Insert the bolt in the latch hole.

Before locking: Rotate the locking mechanism and bolt until the matching serial numbers are visible and aligned on the same side. Align the square end of the bolt to fit into the square hole in the lock. Loosely insert the bolt into the lock to assure proper alignment. Any misalignment will make it more difficult to lock.

Push the bolt into the locking mechanism until it snaps.

Pull on the bolt & lock to confirm the locking mechanism is fully engaged.

A bolt cutter is required to remove the bolt seal. Wear safety glasses when removing.
