Twist meter seal with plastic-coated wire are made with strong plastic and wire seals that offer a safe alternative to lead seals and a transparent exterior for better control of the closing mechanism. Once closed it is advisable to snap off the handle. Suitable applications such as tankers, tote containers, drums, utility meters and other containers transporting valuable and possible hazardous liquids like water or gasoline. This twister upright design also allows for a large flap for clear permanent laser marking of sequential numbers, barcodes or text for security and identification that cannot be removed or replaced. The high impact ABS plastic lock body is non-flammable, and the Y-665 Twister seal can come with the option of stainless-steel coated wire for securing to the application that also offers corrosive resistant properties.
Applications: Twist meter seal is mainly used as tamper-indicative seals on utility meters. They are not intended to stop or impede unauthorized access to the meter. Their primary purpose is to record that tampering of the meter has taken place. The seal requires no tools for installation and can be quickly and easily applied. The printing is highly durable and clearly visible.
