Company Profile

Choose the right seal
Select a seal type that physically matches the equipment or fixture to be sealed
Carefully look at the length, diameter and available space for locking and checking the seal. Also consider usage environment and duration.

Use an appropriate strength
Seals consider how strong they will not break accidentally and how strong they should be when cut or removed. Also, do the seals prevent unauthorized opening to the extent required? Cost commensurate with the risk of loss due to seal breakage. Usually the stronger the seal, the higher the cost.

Use an easy-to-manage closed system
The closure method of the seal should be matched to the capabilities of the facility and personnel applying and inspecting the seal. If special tools are needed to close or read the seal, consider the cost and availability of the tools. Complex systems without adequate equipment and trained personnel are ineffective.

Materials should be suitable for the conditions of use of the seal
Consider climate, corrosion, physical stress, duration of use, and handling and storage conditions. We offer plastics and metals in various strength categories.

Make sure the seal contains all the required information.
The information may only include a serial number or a few letters. Or you may need a lot. Seals can display information such as logos, product codes, barcodes, source and destination indicators, and payload or content data.

Understand the purpose
A tamper-evident seal security seal is a tool that deters and detects unauthorized opening of closures. They differ from locks in that they can only be used once and then are destroyed.

When a seal is discovered to have been tampered with or breached, tamper indicators allow users to begin investigating any issues and ultimately catch and stop the violator.

Seals alone will not prevent entry. But a stronger seal can slow down thieves and reduce the likelihood of vandalism or theft of "amenities" by those who don't care about leaving evidence behind.

Seal violations can take many forms, including hiding openings and closures to fool an untrained observer, substituting parts, modifying markings, or replacing an entire (cloned) seal. Tampering may be initially detected when a seal is cut open and no longer in use. It may also be discovered in the field through regular inspections, or when a user inspects the seal after opening it and inspecting it at another location. Seal tampering or irregularities may not be discovered at all if the seals are never inspected by someone with knowledge of the matter.

Once discovered, it is often systematically narrowed down to when and/or where the breach occurred. This may take a few cycles of use, but can tell investigators who may be tampering with (or attempting to tamper with) the protected container or equipment, when it occurs, and where it occurs (if it's a mobile application such as a railroad or truck)

Stronger seals require stronger tools and more time to remove. However, for investigative and law enforcement purposes, they serve the same function as lighter seals. Through system inspection and observation, all seals can help catch or prevent unauthorized opening.

Seal and lock
Since 1980, seals that combine the functions of a strong disposable lock and a disposable seal have been available on the market. First came the bolt-type seals, then the cable seals. They are primarily used in railcars, trucks and intermodal containers.

Key locks have disadvantages in many transportation systems because they are not controlled by one company or agency. They are not easily returned for reuse except in highly contained and regulated operations. If a lock is left unattended, the likelihood of undetected loss is higher and the unit cost is high. The bolt and cable seal is as strong as many locks and is done in a single use at a lower overall cost. It is much easier to control and monitor a seal, and it provides the useful function of saving information related to assets or goods in transit.

In fixed uses such as doors, gates and other entrances and exits, locks can still be used, but only if there is a very good control and inspection system and close monitoring of keys.
