What is barrier seal?
Security seals can devided into plastic seal, cable seal, metal seal, padlock seal, meter seal and barrier seal. Barrier seal include high security bolt seal and bar seal.
The difference of barrier seal and other seals is the types of classes of security seal strength, or barrier capacity, other seals are indicative seals and security seal, while barrier seal is high security seal. It provide the maximum protection for shipping cargo via trucks and containers, usually used in shipping containers.
How to install barrier seal?
Barrier seal usually doesn't need tool to install.
For high security bolt seal:
Devided the pin and bush
Put the pin into the lockhole of the container
The pin insert the bush
Record the serial number on shipping documents
For bar seal:
Slide U-bracket around right-side inner locking rod
Insert main bar through slots in installed U-bracket, Slide through slots right to left with bend in main bar facing container
Slide locking U-bracket around left inner locking rod
Slide main bar through slots in the locking U-bracket
Align holes in locking U-bracket and main bar
Insert locking bolt to securely affix the locking bar- check for proper locking
Record bar number on shipping documents
How to remove the barrier seal?
Before remove the seal, need inspect seal for tampering and matching serial numbers before removal.
For high security bolt seal
Use cable cutter to cut the pin, then can open the door
For bar seal:
Wear proper safety equipment, cut the bar at the shown location with an abrasive cut-off/grinding wheel.
