TPE sealing strip material: thermoplastic elastomer, also known as artificial rubber or synthetic rubber, has been widely used in the door and window industry. The material is mainly mixed with thermoplastic rubber SEBS and other auxiliary materials. TPE sealant strip has many properties and characteristics, as follows:
(1) No (toxic) and green environmental protection: it does not contain carcinogens such as nitrite, heavy metals, pungent (irritating) smell, and does no harm to human body and environment. It is a green environmental protection product. The products have passed SGS certification and comply with EU ROHS directive, especially for export-oriented enterprises.
(2) Low material density: there is no filler such as calcium powder in the production process. The product density is 0.93-0.98, which is only about 67% of the sealing strip made of EPDM. The window exit rate of the rubber strip with the same weight is 1.3-1.4 times that of EPDM.
(3) Good aging resistance: the service life under normal conditions shall not be less than 20 years. It has good resistance to ultraviolet, acid rain, ozone, humid air and arc. There will be no hardening, oil flow, shortening and other phenomena, and the sealing performance of doors and windows will be effectively guaranteed.
(4) Stable performance: the product is qualified by the compatibility test of [National] Architectural Research Institute, and there is no precipitate. It will not pollute the surface coating of door and window profiles (water-based paint and oil paint), ensure that the contact surface with the rubber strip has no yellowing and blackening traces, and improve the quality of doors and windows. It is compatible with structural adhesive. After 21 days of irradiation under ultraviolet lamp, it has no effect on the performance of structural adhesive, which meets the relevant requirements of sealant strips for building doors and windows gb16776.
