What Is The Difference Between Plastic Sealing And Tape Sealing

Leave a message

1. Occasions of use:

Plastic sealing: The most common occasion of use is the protection and packaging of single-sided flat items such as office stationery, certificates, photos, etc.
Tape sealing: Tape sealing is mainly suitable for various packaging needs, such as packaging, lamination, and sealing of export outer boxes, especially BOPP sealing tape, which has excellent sealing, compression deformation resistance, flame retardancy, wettability, etc., and is widely used in various packaging and spraying operations.

2. Material types:

Plastic sealing: Generally, transparent plastic film made of polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) is used for packaging.

Tape sealing: Sealant made of silicone or butyl rubber is mostly used. For example, BOPP tape is based on BOPP film and coated with water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive.

3. Production principle:

Plastic sealing: Sealing is performed by a laminating machine. First, put the item into the laminating bag, and then place it at the sealing part of the laminating machine, and complete the sealing by heating and pressure.
Tape sealing: mainly relies on the stickiness of the tape itself to fit and seal items or packages, without heating or additional equipment.

4. Features:

Plastic sealing: excellent sealing performance, high transparency, can clearly see the condition of the packaged items, and is convenient to carry and store.
Tape sealing: strong adhesion, high tensile strength, good waterproof and weather resistance, adapt to a wide range of temperature differences, and has excellent sealing and protective effects.

5. Application:

Plastic sealing: widely used in office, study, and life to protect documents, photos, files, etc.
Tape sealing: In addition to packaging, it is also used for drying operations, lamination, sealing, color separation and pattern spraying of spraying.
